RENÉ ACUÑA

Director of Real Estate Investments

René Acuña has more than 12 years of experience in real estate investments, structuring and managing strategies on behalf of high-net-worth and institutional clients.

In his role at Cope Corrales, René is responsible for sourcing, vetting, and structuring multifamily opportunities to spearhead the firm’s value-add workforce multifamily housing strategy across Sunbelt states. He also leads the execution of value-add business plans and maintains relationships with investors.

Prior to joining Cope Corrales, René worked at Alpha Partners, a New York-based firm, where he oversaw acquisitions and managed workforce multifamily assets valued at over $200M. In this role, he oversaw close to 1,500 multifamily workforce units across the Midwest and Sunbelt regions.

Before this, René worked at BCI, a leading bank in Latin America and owner of City National Bank of Florida, where he structured and managed $570M in JV equity and led large-scale residential and mixed-use developments. He has a solid track record in fund and asset portfolio management, overseeing assets worth over $600M for global institutional investors.

René holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an Industrial Civil Engineering degree from Universidad de Chile. René resides in Miami, FL with his wife and son.
